Harvest Fest to haunt hallways across campus

Ghost, goblins and ghouls will roam the halls of Green River College in preparation for the Annual Fall Harvest Fest. Their objective? Treats, not tricks. The event is put on by the Classified Staff Training & Development Committee (CSTDC) and includes a food drive, pumpkin carving contest and costume contest. (More)

Save the date: Washington ShakeOut comes to Green River, Oct. 20

Green River students, faculty and staff will participate in the Great Washington ShakeOut throughout Oct. 20. The one minute drills will occur at 10:20 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and are designed to encourage people to plan what they would do in the case of an earthquake. (More)

Jacelyn Boschok joins Green River College Board of Trustees

Jacelyn Boschok of Kent has been appointed to the Green River College Board of Trustees by Gov. Jay Inslee. Boschok replaces Pete Lewis, whose 5-year term expired in Sept. 2016 and joins oins on the board Claudia Kauffman, former state senator; Tim Clark, former Kent City councilman and educator; Linda Cowan, former Auburn School District superintendent; and Sharonne Navas, co-founder and executive director of the Equity in Education Coalition.
