The following letter was sent to Green River Community members by Interim President Scott Morgan on Feb. 28, 2017
Green River College Community:
Our Presidential Search Advisory Committee is working diligently to identify four finalists for the Board of Trustees to consider as the next president of Green River. We began with 38 applications and are currently considering 8 semi-finalists. On March 16th, the advisory committee will give the Board of Trustees the names of our finalists. Shortly after that, we will communicate the names of the candidates as well as a brief biography on each to the entire campus.
The next steps in the process involve you. During the week of April 10th, the college will have a candidate visit each day from Monday through Thursday. There will be a student forum as well as a faculty/staff forum for each candidate. Each forum will occur at noon or later. Additionally, the forums will be recorded and made available online for those who are unable to attend. We will send to campus constituencies an electronic feedback request. That feedback will be tabulated and given to the Board of Trustees to consider as they make their decision.
Further details regarding the forums as well as what the interview day will entail for the candidates will be released in the near future. For now, please plan meetings and events accordingly so that you can either attend in person or view the recording of the forums.
