Campus returns to normal operations after consecutive snow days

Facilities worked tirelessly to prepare campus to return to normal operations

Evening classes will be held on all Green River College campuses Tuesday, 2/7/17. Classes that begin at 5 p.m. or later will be held; all earlier classes are cancelled.

Classes will run on regular schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, for all Green River College campuses. All campuses will resume normal operations.

The snow we’ve received has made travel difficult in the area, campus parking is no exception. Here are a few tips to navigate snowy parking lots at Green River College:
  • Get to campus early. Give yourself extra time and drive safely. Our Facilities crew has worked hard limit the impact to parking, however some spots remain snowy.
  • Travel with friends. Tomorrow is a great chance to get to know your friends and classmates. Try to carpool, if driving to campus. The fewer cars, the better the traveling experience we’ll all have.
  • Leave the driving to Metro. Why not enjoy having someone else drive you to school by taking one of King County’s Public Transportation options. Plan your route.
  • Park at the Raceway. Pacific Raceways has limited parking available for students, faculty, and staff. Our normal parking lot may not be available, due to snow, but parking is available at the raceway if you are unable to find any on campus.

Please watch your step, while the parking lots and walkways across campus have been treated by Facilities staff, there may be slippery and icy conditions along walkways and building entrances and exits.
